The Miami Heat are coming apart at the seams. Chris Bosh is out. Dwyane Wade is reportedly dealing with a leg injury. From ESPN.com:
Wade has been getting some treatments in recent days to deal with a lower-leg issue that also caused him to miss some games at the end of the regular season. It seems to be affecting his performance, especially his jump shot, and is showing up in other ways such as getting back on defense and being lethargic on defensive rotations.
Suddenly LeBron James is being asked to do what he did in Cleveland. Carry a mediocre team through the playoffs.
While this is happening, the Indiana Pacers are firing on all cylinders. They smell blood in the water, and are going in for the kill.
Frustrations boiled over on the sideline for Wade and Coach Eric Spoelstra during a timeout in the 3rd quarter.
Spoelstra, perhaps questioning Wade’s effort. Wade, in so many words, telling his coach to get out of his face.
After the game, when asked about the incident, Spoelstra said:
That was during a very emotional part of the game, we were getting our butt kicked. Those exchanges happen all the time during the course of an NBA season.
Wade’s response:
I don’t even remember what y’all talking about.
Here’s what I’m talking about, the Miami Heat possibly exiting in the second round of the playoffs. The team that was supposed to win, not one, not two…blah blah championships, going home very early.
